Diarrhea
Diarrhea happens to all of us at some point and it can be a very embarrassing and sometimes painful problem. The most common cause is a bug that gets into your digestive tract which causes abnormal cramping. These bugs are often contracted when eating certain foods, especially outside of your home.
Handling Diarrhea
It is best to rest and let the symptoms run their course, but there are two things you can do to help alleviate symptoms temporarily. Drink lots of fluids in between meals to ensure you do not become dehydrated. Also, many over the counter medications can reduce symptoms of diarrhea.
Chronic Diarrhea
Chronic Diarrhea is often a sign of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The exact cause of the illness is unknown, but it is accompanied by off and on bouts of diarrhea and constipation. These episodes are more painful than the norm. Pay attention to what foods and medications trigger the symptoms and try to cut back on these.
